Yes, formatting in these instances is often a problem. I usually copy and paste it to micorsoft word or something, right click 'Paste as is'. I also sometimes see if I can get it close to what it was, then patch it up as best I can afterward.

Hope some of what I said might help, most often times its a matter of your computer being unable to detect and therefore copy the exact formatting of the site.
